Science Policy Coordinator position (fixed-term) at WWF Germany

We are looking for a Science Policy Coordinator (fixed-term) to support the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning of the Assessing Sustainability Standards project.

The position will be based at the Nature Conservation Department of the WWF Germany office, commencing from 1st of April on a six months, full-time contract.


  • Support in the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning of the project Assessing Sustainability Standards
  • Identify and support stakeholder outreach for the project, including consultation with the WWF network and standard system on the results of Phase I and future needs and priorities of the WWF Network on sustainability standard systems
  • Support consultation on science methodologies for evaluating sustainability standard systems for potential future phase with the WWF network and academic institutions
  • Coordinates projects workshops and meetings including identifying participants as well as working with the Luc Hoffmann Institute research lead to develop agendas and goals
  • Maintains regular communication with the project team
  • Support proposal writing and funding applications


  • A master level degree in environmental management, social science, conservation, development or policy
  • Minimum three years of working experience in this field
  • Project management experience and sufficient knowledge of project management methods & tools
  • Sound understanding of methods for assessing certifications standards in a systematic and holistic approach
  • Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder workshops
  • Sound ability to interact with experts and stakeholders from different backgrounds
  • Fluency in written and spoking English
  • Discretion, reliability, flexibility, accuracy
  • Ability to work in multicultural and multidisciplinary environment
