An exciting position has opened to lead communications for the Luc Hoffmann Institute, based in either Cambridge, UK, or Gland, Switzerland.
The Head of Communications will manage the Luc Hoffmann Institute’s strategic communications and outreach to key audiences, both internal and external. The candidate will ensure the further development and effective implementation of the institute’s communications strategy, to strengthen its purpose and positioning as well as help it meet its goals.

To do this we help partners unlock the potential of their ideas and accelerate the search for solutions to complex conservation challenges, encouraging innovation and systems change. An effective communications function is critical to the institute’s success.
Reporting to the Director of the Luc Hoffmann Institute and playing a pivotal role in helping shape and build the institute’s profile and impact, the Head of Communications will:
- Develop the communications strategy, brand and reputation, shaping the institute’s value proposition, audience definition and key messages.
- Design and implement effective internal and external communications plans to promote and safeguard the institute’s brand and reputation.
- Act as a strategic partner for the Luc Hoffmann Institute Director and staff, providing advice on key campaigns, outreach opportunities and crisis communications.
- Measure the institute’s communications and brand engagement efforts to ensure progress is made toward meeting communications needs and objectives.
This full-time position will be based in Gland, Switzerland or Cambridge, UK.
