Alejandro Guizar Coutiño, Luc Hoffmann Institute Fellow

Alejandro is a climate change and development expert specializing in quantitative and qualitative data analysis by means of novel computational tools. He has experience in the incorporation of multiple data science approaches to advance research in areas related to environmental sustainability, and has applied these tools in a wide range of contexts including remote sensing, environmental niche modeling and climate change forecasting.

Alejandro’s research interests relate to the interactions between climate, environment and society. He is particularly interested in the responses of social-ecological systems to environmental change and the translation of science into policy-relevant strategies.
