Adrian is a political scientist and environmental advocacy expert. Before joining the institute he was Head of Policy and Advocacy in WWF International’s Global and Regional Policy Unit.

Melanie Ryan I Senior Programme Manager

Melanie is a programme management, design, engagement and facilitation expert with extensive experience in international cooperation, science-policy and environmental programmes.

Richard Gauld I Head of Operations

Richard has over 17 years’ experience in strategy implementation, operations and performance evaluation in the public and not-for-profit sectors.

Carina Wyborn I Research Advisor

Carina is an interdisciplinary social scientist with a background in human ecology. Her research focusses on knowledge co-production in climate adaptation and biodiversity conservation.

Sandrine Jimenez Logistics and Administrative Coordinator

Sandrine organises travel and events and carries out many other administrative functions, ensuring the smooth running of the Luc Hoffmann Institute.

Jessica Villat Head of Communication

Jessica is a communication and sustainability professional with international strategy-building experience, change management skills, and a passion for improving the well-being of nature and people. 

Anaïk Anthonioz-Blanc I Programme and Communication Assistant

Anaïk provides logistics and event support for the institute. She also helps with project research and various communications tasks.

Elisabeth is an advocacy and partner engagement specialist with legal background and a passion for environmental and sustainability issues.

Lucie is an environmental project manager with international experience in waste management, renewable energy, and scientific cooperation.

Anca Damerell | Research and Projects Coordinator

Anca Damerell has a PhD in Geography from the University of Cambridge, a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Economics from the Academy of Economic Studies, Romania and Université d’Artois, France, and a Master’s in Environmental Protection from the University of Edinburgh.
