Adrian is a political scientist and environmental advocacy expert. Before joining the institute in 2017 he was Head of Policy and Advocacy in WWF International’s Global and Regional Policy Unit where he worked for over eight years. Adrian was involved in international environmental negotiations around the G20, UNESCO World Heritage convention, United Nations climate change convention, Convention on Biological Diversity, Rio+20 conference and the Sustainable development Goals. Prior to WWF, Adrian worked at the Institut Français des Relations Internationales, a French think tank, as a researcher on energy issues in the Russia and post-Soviet region. Adrian holds a Masters degree in International Relations from the University of Sussex, UK and is the author of several articles on Russia, energy and international relations, as well as dozens of WWF policies and position papers.
